About StaatsNavigator
StaatsNavigator.de is Germany's independent platform for public administration routes, applications, grants and citizen services – clearly presented, regionally linked and regularly reviewed.
Our mission
German administration is complex – responsibilities shift between federal, state and local levels. Many people lose time because they do not know which office is responsible, which documents are missing or how long processing takes.
StaatsNavigator bundles this information in one place: structured guides, authority contacts, form links and regional specifics. The goal is that you arrive prepared at the right office – or start the online application directly.
Editorial principles
- Content is based on laws, administrative rules and official authority sources – with a stated review date.
- Advertising and affiliate links are labelled and do not influence factual official information (fees, deadlines, responsibility).
- Pages without sufficient data quality are not indexed – fewer pages, but more reliable ones.
How content is created
Core topics such as housing benefit, citizen's benefit or passport are researched editorially and linked with regional authority data. Automated additions (e.g. processing time estimates) are only published when they meet our quality threshold.
Feedback and corrections are welcome at kontakt@staatsnavigator.de. We review reported errors in authority data promptly and mark updates on affected pages.

StaatsNavigator is not a government office or an official federal or state portal. Binding information is provided only by the responsible authority.
